What is TAG DER CLUBKULTUR?<\/p>

TAG DER CLUBKULTUR was launched in 2020 by the Clubcommission on the initiative of the Senate Department for Culture and Europe and the Musicboard, and will once again honor the diversity of Berlin\u2018s club culture and the special commitment of the Berlin scene. An associated prize will award a total of 40 clubs and collectives in the city with 10,000 euros each. All Berlin clubs and collectives can apply for the award in the context of the TAG DER CLUBKULTUR. This year\u2018s award focuses on two main themes: bridging the pandemic and visions for the future of Berlin club culture. The submission of the application is possible online from August 1 to August 15.<\/p>

HOW ARE THE CLUBS AND COLLECTIVES AWARDED?<\/p>

An independent, five-member board of trustees, representing the diversity of the Berlin club scene, decides on the awards for TAG DER CLUBKULTUR. This year, the board of trustees consists of DJ Gigola, Lewamm \u201eLu\u201c Ghebremariam, Pansy, Volkan A\u011far and Whitney Wei. Once again this year, general criteria will be part of the evaluation process of the submissions. WHAT PROGRAM CRITERIA APPLY TO THE EVENTS ON TAG DER CLUBKULTUR?<\/p>

The Board of Trustees attaches particular importance to diversity and equality in booking as well as fair pay and support for local artists. The showcases shouldn\u2019t include headliners that have to be flown in but should rather strengthen residencies and the local (club) culture.
