RISE wurde durch die Liebe zu afrikanisch inspirierter elektronischer Musik und endlosen Rythmen des Mutterlandes zusammengebracht. Es ist eine Gruppe von Künstler:innen, geleitet von Hyenah. RISE ist inklusiv, eine Art zu Denken. RISE ist UNITY.

We’ll be screening our documentary “Above & Beyond – the Rise of Global Afro House”. Afterwards, there will be a panel talk with the director Naomi Phillips and the protagonists of Berlin’s scene. We will not only discuss the film, but also the cooperation between the global Afro House scene and the Berlin-based RISE crew. Following this, there will be a get-together with DJ sets (RISE crew & friends), drinks and a dance performance.
