A club is community, is diversity, is nearness, is an experiment. A club is change, is freedom, is resistance and culture. A club is always new and there for all. A club is a club.

October 3rd is the day: for the second time we host the TAG DER CLUBKULTUR (Day of Club Culture) citywide, to celebrate the diversity of Berlin's club culture together with you. In the framework of Tag der Clubkultur, 40 clubs and collectives have each been honored with 10,000€ for their outstanding engagement. These actors, and numerous others, have planned special events and programs for today.

This year's awards focus on two main themes - bridging the crisis of the pandemic, and visions for Berlin's club culture of tomorrow. An independent curatorial team consisting of DJ Gigola, Lewamm Ghebremariam, Pansy, Volkan Ağar and Whitney Wei selected the awardees. This team evaluated the submissions in terms of content, cultural and artistic quality, and jointly selected the clubs and collectives to honor.

The Tag der Clubkultur was launched in 2020 to highlight the diversity and importance of Berlin's club culture. Tag der Clubkultur takes place in 2021 on the initiative of the Senate Department for Culture and Europe and Berlin Clubcommission, and in close cooperation with the Musicboard Berlin.
